All members of the Stockholm Intellectual Property Law Review are expected to adhere to the standards of established research ethics and act with academic integrity.

§ Membership

  2. Board of Directors

Members of the Board of Directors are appointed annually.

  1. Editorial Board

Members of the Editorial Board are officially selected by the Board of Directors. Invitation of membership may also be extended upon admission into the European Intellectual Property Law Master’s programme.

B. Division of Responsibility and Authority of Editorial Board

  1. Editor-in-Chief

The editor-in-chief oversees the editorial board and has the responsibility of producing the Law Review. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Scheduling and chairing the meetings of the Editorial Board;
  2. Writing a foreword for each issue;
  3. Editing the foreword of the other selected party;
  4. Coordinating the selection process of articles;
  5. Communicating with authors;
  6. Performing a final edit of all articles prior to publication;
  7. Managing public relations and correspondence alongside the communications officer;
  8. Overseeing and coordinating the work of selected editors;
  9. Administering and publishing content on the webpage;
  10. Planning public events relating to the Law Review;
  11. Handling relevant administrative issues;
  12. Exerting the authority to break tie votes of the Editorial Board on matters in need of a quorum.

2. Communications Officer

The communications officer manages public relations and handles correspondence relating to the Law Review. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Managing internal and external communications;
  2. Handling correspondence relating to sponsorship and media;
  3. Communicating with authors;
  4. Helping to organise public events relating to the Law Review;
  5. Chairing meetings in the absence of the Editor-in-Chief.

3. Publication Officers

The publication officers organise the physical and electronic distributions of the Law Review. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Handling correspondence relating to the distribution of the Law Review;
  2. Submitting the law review to selected online databases;
  3. Sending by post physical copies if required;
  4. Announcing the publication of the Law Review on the website and to selected parties.
  1. Content Editors

The content editors verify that the submitted articles are factually correct, consistent and sufficiently supported. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Confirming that the substance of articles is factually correct;
  2. Authenticating the content of the articles;
  3. Verifying that reliable sources are referenced;
  4. Suggesting amendments if needed;
  5. Communicating such amendments to the Editor-in-Chief and Communications Officer.
  1. Editors

Editors review the submitted articles and propose appropriate amendments. Responsibilities include, bare are not limited to:

  1. Performing the first edit of articles as assigned by the Editor-in-Chief and in accordance with the set schedule;
  2. Proofreading the grammar, style and language of articles;
  3. Proposing ameliorations;
  4. Sending these proposed amendments to the Editor-in-Chief and Communications Officer.
  1. Administrative Editors

Administrative editors perform tasks relating to the operations of the Law Review. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Verifying that the articles contain correct referencing;
  2. Managing the formatting of the articles prior to publication;
  3. Taking notes at meetings and sharing these notes with the Editorial Board;
  4. Contacting past alumni for article contributions;
  5. Helping to organise events related to the Law Review;
  6. Completing other tasks as assigned by the Editor-in-Chief or the Board of Directors.
